Good news for British passport holders: you do not need a visa for a short tourist visit to Malaysia. You do, however, need to complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) before you arrive.
Longer stays, work, study and some nationalities do require a visa in advance — and the MDAC is regularly missed by travellers who assume visa-free means paperwork-free.
